John E. Keefe Jr. is a co-managing member of the Keefe Bartels Clark law firm. Keefe specializes in defective products, personal injury litigation, complex mass tort, and class actions. Keefe regularly serves as lead or co-counsel in high profile defective product, medical products, and other civil lawsuit matters including several consumer fraud, environmental and securities fraud class actions. John was co-counsel and appointed by the Superior Court as plaintiffs’ liaison counsel in the historic defective product national class action, Talalai v. Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. Patrick J. Bartels is a co-managing member of the Keefe Bartels Clark law firm. A former Captain in the US Air Force, Judge Advocate General Department, and former state prosecutor, Patrick litigated well over 75 criminal trials prior to starting his civil trial practice. Patrick served as Co-Counsel in a national consumer fraud class settlement in Chicago, Illinois on behalf of thousands of consumers nationwide. Bartels has devoted most of his career to representing workers and their families who have suffered severe and debilitating injuries from dangerous and defective products. Bartels has litigated hundreds of defective medical implant device cases and thousands of product defect matters. Mr. Bartels is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has been designated a "Super Lawyer".
 
Gerald H. Clark is a partner at Keefe Bartels Clark and certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Trial Attorney*. Clark maintains a civil practice including defective product cases, complex litigation, class actions and personal injury. Gerald has served as a lead attorney on a number of mass tort and class action lawsuits including the largest groundwater contamination case in the state of New Jersey. He played a key role in bringing about the settlement of an unprecedented consumer fraud class action lawsuit against Cooper Tire & Rubber Company. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has been recognized by New Jersey Monthly Magazine as a "Super Lawyer" on multiple occasions. In 2006 the New Jersey Law Journal featured Mr. Clark in its "Top 40 lawyers under 40 years of age" publication.
   
Josh Kincannon is an associate at Keefe Bartels Clark. Josh won the prestigious Dean's Merit Scholarship to Rutgers Law School in Camden and while in school, volunteered his time at an elementary school in downtown Camden. Josh's passion to help others continues in his work at Keefe Bartels Clark. He has recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars for victims of defective medical device implants. His practice encompasses all manner of cases, from a young man who suffered severe facial lacerations from a schoolyard assault, to working as an associate with plaintiffs' liaison counsel in a historic consumer fraud national class action, Talalai v. Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., a case that resulted in a large settlement which is valued between $1 billion and $3 billion to consumers. He currently works with lead counsel on behalf of plaintiffs in one of the largest pollution cases in New Jersey, Janes v. Ciba Geigy Corporation. The case is a certified class action on behalf of property owners who have seen their property values greatly affected by living in the shadows of one of the country's worst pollution sites.

 

* The designation “Certified Civil Trial Attorney” is granted by the New Jersey Supreme Court to attorneys who demonstrate a significant level of experience, education, knowledge, and expertise in their trial practice. Attorneys who apply for certification must meet stringent standards set by the Board of Trial Attorney Certification.
